Embracing Change: The Next Chapter for FTG

Passion. Purpose. Pigmentation.
From my 28 years in the Micropigmentation industry I have witnessed many changes and met some incredible people. It is now time for FTG to change focus (but not change direction).
With over 10,000 days in micropigmentation and 20,000 days in hair loss, my dedication and thirst for knowledge have not changed. Finishing Touches Group (FTG) was originally created to help people with hair loss concerns. Today, our talented team and trained practitioners have helped thousands of men and women redefine lost features and camouflage visible skin differences.
My interest in 'long-lasting looks' began when I sought a solution for an alopecia client who was getting married overseas. She wanted to feel confident and look her best all day, especially in her wedding photos. While I could provide her with excellent hair replacement, I had no solution for her brows. This led to the birth of my new business.
After extensive research, I decided to travel to China in 1996 to learn how to create long-lasting eyebrows for my clients. The equipment was basic, colour theory was non-existent, and support was merely a word in the dictionary. My equipment was nothing more than a needle bound to a chopstick!
After a number of years doing treatments and reflecting on my experience in China, I realised there should be better options to learn micropigmentation. This revelation inspired me to start educating others. Additionally, the need for quality and safe products prompted me to design my own equipment. I was one of the first to develop a medical pigment colour line and potentially the world's first Class 2 Medical device, suitable for both hospitals and private practices.
I’m proud to say that Finishing Touches Group (FTG) has not wavered from its original values of quality and commitment for a safe micropigmentation industry.
Looking ahead, we see the need to adapt and evolve with our ever-changing industry and your needs. That’s why we’re shifting our focus to the 3Ms of medical micro:
Micropigmentation, Micro-vibrations & Microneedling
Don’t worry, we’ll still offer our popular cosmetic and aesthetic courses and full range of consumables. By honing in on the 3Ms we aim to stay at the cutting edge of restorative treatments and bring the latest solutions to you and for your clients and patients.
The 3Ms of Medical Micro can help so many people, whether they need colour to balance and correct, or to conceal and camouflage. While our focus is evolving, our ethos remains unchanged: "We put colour back into people's skin to help put colour back into people's lives."
We’re thrilled to bring you some exciting new courses that we believe will help you offer new services to your existing clients and reach new audiences. We’re expanding our training programmes to focus on the 3Ms of medical micro:
Meso Body
Introducing the latest addition to our renowned Meso microneedling courses: Meso Body. This course empowers professionals with the expertise to effectively treat various body scars, including stretch marks, acne scars, and self-harm scars. Find out more here

We’re also excited to announce that we are now offering training in my home city, Brighton. We’ve moved into our new clinic and training venue and can’t wait for you to see it (we still have our Haywards Heath head office, and Manchester venues for training).
- We have made an extension to our 3D Nipple and Areola course. The additional day will focus on techniques for minimising surgical scars and lightening unwanted radiotherapy marks. With this comprehensive training, you can now offer a full range of treatments related to adding colour and treating scars from breast surgery.
We are also in the process of attaining Level 4 accreditation for 3D Nipple & Areola only (previously linked with camouflage).
Additionally, we are introducing very soon a new drawing class and stencil technique for designing areolas.
- We have a new camouflage technique to accompany our acrylic & watercolour approach to adding skin colour camouflage into scars.
- Our new course, Meso Body, has been amalgamated with our Skin Colour Camouflage course. It is now offered as a 2-day intensive in-house speciality course for doctors and medical professionals, enabling them to set up a Scar & Colour Camouflage (SCC) service.
